    bybit2024-06-11 11:29:48

A YubiKey is a security key that can be used for various authentication methods. Security keys can provide an extra layer of account security, acting as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method for logging in to your account.

Please note that YubiKey authentication is not supported on Subaccounts.

    Set up Your YubiKey Authentication

Step 1: Log in to your Bybit account and click on the Profile Icon located in the top right corner of the homepage. When the drop-down menu appears, click on Account & Security

Step 2: Once you’re on the Account & Security page, search for YubiKey Authentication under the Advanced Protection section. Click on Settings to connect your YubiKey to your Bybit account.

Note: If you already have a YubiKey connected to your Bybit account, you can also manage it by clicking on the Settings button.

Step 3: If you’re setting up a YubiKey for the first time, click on Add to start connecting your YubiKey with your Bybit account.

    Notes

    — If you already have a YubiKey connected to your Bybit account, you can view your existing YubiKey(s) on the YubiKey Authentication page. Each user will be allowed to connect up to five (5) YubiKeys per account.

    — On the YubiKey Management page, you can also view details about the YubiKey(s) that are connected to your Bybit account, including the YubiKey model, time & date added, and its last time used.

    — Please note that Yubikey Authentication serves as an extra layer of account security. Any existing 2FA verification is still required during login after Yubikey Authentication is linked.

Step 4: Before connecting your YubiKey to your Bybit account, you’re required to perform a security verification first. Enter your verification code and click on Confirm.

Step 5: Upon successful verification, click on External security key or built-in sensor. Insert your YubiKey and activate it. Please insert your YubiKey into an available USB port and tap on it.

Note: If you fail to activate your YubiKey within the 60-second time frame, the page will expire and you will be redirected to the YubiKey Management page. You can try again if the time is up.

Click Allow if the following message appears.

    Your YubiKey is now verified.

You will be able to view the device name, date added and last time used on the YubiKey Authentication page. You can also manage your device here.
