2. Set up your Gold&FX Master Trader Subaccount and install the MetaTrader 5 platform.

Profit Sharing:
A key difference between Copy Trading Gold&FX and Copy Trading Classic is the profit-sharing mechanism. Copy Trading Gold&FX follows the High Water Mark (HWM) principle, where profit sharing occurs only when net equity — calculated as the total of realized and unrealized PnL — exceeds its previous peak. This ensures Master Traders are rewarded only for consistent profitability.
The profit sharing is calculated as follows:
-
Profit Sharing = Trading Result x Profit Sharing Ratio
-
Trading Result = Cumulative Realized Profits + Current Unrealized PnL − High-Water Mark Level
Profit sharing is distributed every Sunday at 12AM (midnight) based on the MT5 time frame:
-
UTC+3 during Daylight Saving Time (from the second Sunday in March).
-
UTC+2 during Standard Time (from the first Sunday in November).

Risks
While Copy Trading Gold&FX provides a convenient way to follow expert traders, it comes with inherent risks that Followers should be aware of:
-
Performance Not Guaranteed: A Master Trader's past success does not guarantee future results.
-
Position Closure Restrictions: Followers cannot manually close Copy Trading positions. Exiting is only possible by unfollowing the Master Trader or when a Take Profit (TP) or Stop Loss (SL) is triggered.
-
Slippage and Entry Price Differences: Market conditions, network delays, or timing differences may result in Followers entering trades at prices different from the Master Trader's, which can impact profitability and ROE.
-
Market Risks: Copy Trading Gold&FX is connected to international forex and commodities markets, which may involve third-party risks beyond Bybit's control.
-
System Limitations: Copy Trading Gold&FX is not available 24/7. Trading may be paused during non-trading hours or system maintenance. Please refer to notifications on the Copy Trading Gold&FX homepage for the latest updates. Any requests made during unavailable hours may experience delays and will be processed once trading resumes.
Please carefully assess these risks and ensure you understand the MT5 trading details before proceeding.
