WSOT 2024

What is the WSOT 2024?

WSOT 2024, the World Series of Trading, is the world’s largest crypto trading competition! The total prize pool is up to 10,000,000 USDT! This time, WSOT has prepared multiple arenas, allowing different types of users to participate:

When is the registration period?

Squad registration will be possible from October 1st, 2024 at 10 AM UTC to October 9th, 2024 at 10 AM UTC while Individual registration will start on October 1st, 2024 at 10 AM UTC and continue until October 10th, 2024 at 10 AM UTC. Please find the details for each registration period below.

 

 

When is the competition period?

When is the reward distribution period?

Rewards will be calculated and distributed from November 1st, 10:00 AM UTC to November 12th, 10:00 AM UTC. All of the rewards obtained from WSOT will be credited to eligible users' accounts and is subject to a risk review within 30 days after the event ends.

 

 

 

What is the WSOT 2024 Overall Prize Pool Breakdown?

This year, the WSOT total prize pool is up to 10,000,000 USDT, allocated to each event as follows:

 

 

 

 

Who can participate in WSOT 2024?

All users from Bybit’s supported countries who have completed Identity Verification (KYC) Level 1 or above can participate in all WSOT competitions. API users, VIP users, and Pro 1 & 2 accounts are welcome to join the event. The WSOT DEX Wave is also open to all Bybit Web3 wallet users.

 

Notes:

— Market Makers, PRO 3 and above accounts, and Institutional users are not eligible for the event

— Users from derivative-restricted regions cannot participate in the following events: Squad Showdown, Copy Trading Fest & Buddy Rally.

 

 

 

What accounts can I use to participate in WSOT 2024?

Each WSOT event has its own requirements and conditions for participation.

 

 

 

 

What are the rewards for Early Bird registration for WSOT 2024?

If a user registers during the Early Bird period and achieves a trading volume of 50K during the competition, he will be eligible to receive a 50 USDT Bonus reward. Please note that this is limited to the first 20,000 eligible users!

 

 

 

 

I used five accounts to participate in the WSOT 2024 Squad Showdown during the early bird registration period, and all of them met the trading volume requirements. Will all five of my accounts be eligible for Early Bird rewards?

No, each participant is eligible for only one account to receive Early Bird rewards. The rewards will be distributed to your main account after the event concludes.

 

 

 

I transferred 500 USDT into my account to participate as a Lightweight in WSOT, but the system shows my balance is insufficient. Why is this happening?

This is due to the system checking your Unified Trading Account’s USD equivalent balance, but not the USDT balance. The index price of USDT to USD may not always be 1:1, causing your total equity to be slightly less than 500 USD (e.g., 499.93 USD), even if you transferred exactly 500 USDT. To meet the registration requirement, you can deposit a little more USDT to ensure that your total equity meets or exceeds 500 USD after conversion.

 

 

 

 

 

Squad Showdown

How do I participate in the Squad Showdown?

The Squad Showdown will introduce a new competition mechanism. Users need to choose the Tier they wish to participate in, which will be classified based on their account assets:

 

 

 

The assets will be calculated based on the assets in each UTA account within the main account or sub-accounts. The Main account and sub-account trading volume and P&L will be calculated separately.

 

 

 

 

How can I register for the Squat Showdown competition?

Step 1: You must select both the participating account and tier. If the account's assets do not meet the requirements, you can deposit or transfer funds to the account to meet the minimum asset requirement.

 

Step 2: After choosing a Tier, you can further select a squad:

• Squad With a Leader: A squad led by a KOL or experienced trader, where you fight alongside the leader and team members.

• Leaderless Regional Squad: For example, Chinese Team, Russian Team, etc. Regional teams do not have leaders and collaborate with members from the same region.

• Do not choose a team, participate in Squad Showdown individually.

 

Reminder: You can use up to 4 standard UTA sub-accounts and 1 UTA main account to participate in the Squad Showdown and receive multiple rewards if you meet the terms and qualifications.

 

 

 

What are the advantages of using Sub-accounts to participate in the Squad Showdown?

The WSOT 2024 Squad Showdown allows the use of standard UTA sub-accounts, enabling users to keep funds completely separate. This allows for more diverse and flexible trading strategies without mutual interference, making management easier.

 

It also helps avoid receiving any airdrops or trading bonus rewards during the competition that could affect the account's net value and the calculation of the account's profit and loss %.

 

 

 

How can I become a Squad Leader in Squad Showdown?

During the Squad Leader registration period, go to the WSOT 2024 homepage and click on Become a Squad Leader to submit an application. The event management team will review your application within 48 hours.

 

 

Notes:

— Applications containing any sensitive terms will be automatically rejected.

— Special characters such as spaces, “/“, “%”, and “.” are supported.

— You can submit your application to be a Squad Leader from October 1st, 10 AM UTC to October 9th, 10 AM UTC.

 

 

 

Can I change the squad name after creating my squad?

No, once the squad is successfully created, you will not be able to change your squad name.

 

 

 

I am a squad leader. Can I disband the squad?

No, the squad leader cannot disband the squad. However, if your squad has fewer than the required minimum of 20 members at the start of the competition, the squad will be automatically disbanded, and you and your members will be randomly assigned to other squads within the same region.

 

 

 

My Squad Leader application was rejected. How do I reapply?

You can return to the WSOT 2024 homepage and resubmit your Squad Leader application

 

 

 

In the Squad Showdown, can I change my squad after signing up?

Yes, you can change your squad freely until one day before the competition officially starts. If the squad has fewer than 20 members, they will be assigned automatically to a random team within the region, so share your squad and recruit more members!

 

 

 

What happens if our Squad has fewer than 20 members 24 hours before the competition starts?

The Squad leader and members will receive an email notification 24 hours before the competition informing them that the squad has fewer than 20 members. 

If the squad has fewer than 20 members, they will be assigned automatically to a team randomly within the region. The squad leader will also be assigned to a random team as a member.

 

 

 

Why was I changed to a different squad after the competition started?

Squads with fewer than 20 members will be disbanded when the competition starts, and all members will be automatically assigned to a random team within the region.

 

 

 

Can I join the same squad with multiple accounts in the Squad Showdown?

Yes, all of your participating accounts can join the same squad. Please note that if your selected squad has fewer than the minimum required 20 members at the start of the event, the squad will be disbanded, and your five accounts will be randomly assigned to other squads within the same region.

 

 

 

Can I participate in the Squad Showdown without joining any squad?

Yes, if you do not choose to join any squad before the competition starts, you will only participate in the individual trading competition.

 

 

 

I already registered for Squad Showdown with one account, but how can I register again using another?

1. Login / switch to your Main account, then go to the Squad Showdown page, and tap the "3 dot icon" at the top right of your participating account display.

2. Select "Register Now" to proceed with registration.

 

 

 

 

How many main competition arenas are there in Squad Showdown?

The Squad Showdown will host different competitions in which you can participate to earn rewards. Please find below the main rankings under the Squad Showdown:

 

 

Reminder: To be eligible for rewards, your trading volume during the competition must be ≥ 50,000 USDT.

 

 

 

How is the Squad Showdown P&L% calculated?

The Squat Showdown P&L% is calculated as follows: 

 

Squad Member’s Profit = Account Equity (incl. unrealized PnL and/or bonus) - Initial Equity (incl. unrealized PnL and/or bonus) + Withdrawal Amount During Competition - Deposit Amount During Competition Squad Member’s

 

Squad member's PnL(%) Points = Profit / (Initial Equity + Total Deposits) x Asset Tier Weightage Squad's

 

Squad PnL(%) Points = (PnL(%) Points of Top 20% Eligible Members / Number of Top 20% Eligible Members) + (Number of All Eligible Squad Members x 0.01)

 

 

 

How is Individual P&L% calculated?

The Individual P&L% is calculated as follows: 

 

Individual Profit = Account Equity (incl. unrealized PnL and/or bonus) - Initial Equity (incl. unrealized PnL and/or bonus) + Withdrawal Amount During Competition - Deposit Amount During Competition

 

 

 

How is the Squad Score calculated in Squad Showdown?

The formula for calculating the Squad Score is:

 

Squad Score = Average Squad members P&L% Score + (Number of Eligible Squad Members * 0.01)

• Average Squad members P&L% Score= Total P&L% score of the eligible Top 20% members / Number of eligible Top 20% members

  • Top 20% members = Total squad members * 20%

    • If the number of Top 20% members is less than 20, it will be calculated using a minimum of 20 members, with the total P&L% score based on eligible members only.

    • If the number of Top 20% members is 20 or more, it will be calculated based on the actual number of eligible members.

 

Example:

• Total Squad Members = 1000

  • Top 20% members = 200, eligible squad members = 10

    • Average Squad members P&L% Score = Total P&L% score of the 10 members / 200

    • Squad Score = Average Squad members P&L% Score + (10 * 0.01)

  • Top 20% members = 200, eligible squad members = 300

    • Average Squad members P&L% Score = Total P&L% score of the top 200 members / 200

    • Squad Score = Average Squad members P&L% Score + (300 * 0.01)

 

• Total Squad Members = 20

  • Top 20% members = 4, eligible squad members = 8

    • Average Squad members P&L% Score = Total P&L% score of the 8 members / 20

    • Squad Score = Average Squad members P&L% Score + (8 * 0.01)

  • Top 20% members = 4, eligible squad members = 20

    • Average Squad members P&L% Score = Total P&L% score of the top 20 members / 20

    • Squad Score = Average Squad members P&L% Score + (20 * 0.01)

 

 

 

How is the member's P&L% score calculated in Squad Showdown?

The Members P&L% score is calculated as follows: 

Member's P&L% Score = P&L% * Asset Tier Multiplier

Example: Bob participates in Squad Showdown in the lightweight tier.

• Bob current P&L% = 25%

• Lightweight multiplier = 10%

Bob's P&L% Score for the squad = 25 * 10% = 2.5

 

 

 

What contracts will be counted for the competition?

The P&L(%) will include all USDT and USDC Perpetual contracts, USDC Options, Spot Trading, Spot Margin Trading as well as Leveraged Tokens. Copy Trading, trading bot, and MT5 volumes are not included.

 

Each participating account's trading volume will be calculated separately. The Main Account's trading volume will exclude the trading volume of all Subaccounts.

 

 

 

Will API trades be counted?

Yes, API trades will be counted.

 

 

Can I use multiple accounts to participate in the Squad Showdown? By doing so, can I perform hedge trading? 

Squad Showdown allows users to participate with multiple accounts, and users are permitted to freely use various trading strategies during the competition, including hedging. However, please note that wash trading between accounts (two participating accounts taking long and short positions on the same trading pair) will be considered a violation. Any violations will result in disqualification from the competition and forfeiture of prizes. For more details, please refer to here.

 

 

 

If the P&L% of the top 20% of my squad members is negative, will it affect my Squad score?

Yes, if a squad member's P&L% is negative, it will contribute a negative score to the squad.

 

For example, if Bob participates in the lightweight asset tier and his current P&L% is -25%,

• Lightweight multiplier = 10%

• Score calculation formula = P&L% * asset tier multiplier

• Bob's Score = -25 * 10% = -2.5

 

 

 

This is because the UTA assets in the currently registered account do not meet the asset tier requirements for your participation. As a result, the related P&L% data will not be shown. You can transfer more assets to this account to meet the minimum asset tier requirement. Once the minimum asset requirement is met, please wait 10 minutes and check again.

 

 

 

Why hasn’t my Asset Tier Changed After my Deposit or Withdrawal?

1. Make a Deposit to Upgrade Asset Tier

Your initial asset tier is set by your account balance at the time of registration.

• If you deposit before the competition starts, your tier will be updated based on your balance as of October 10th, 2024, at 10 AM UTC.

• If you deposit during the competition, your balance is monitored every five (5) minutes. Deposits can upgrade your tier.

Note: Depositing funds will negatively impact your P&L%.

 

2. Made a Withdrawal to Downgrade Asset Tier

Your asset tier is set based on your balance at registration and the asset tier can't be downgraded. Even if you withdraw before or during the competition, your asset tier stays the same.

 

 

 

How often is the P&L% ranking updated in Squad Showdown?

All rankings in Squad Showdown will be updated every 5 minutes. You can check the latest update time on the leaderboard.

 

 

 

Can I deposit/withdraw funds from the account participating in the WSOT 2024 trading competition during the event?

Yes, you can. However, please note that any deposits during the competition will impact your account's P&L%. If your deposit causes your account’s total assets to exceed the required amount for your current level, you will automatically be upgraded to a higher tier. Withdrawals do not affect your competition tier.

 

Example: Bob is participating in the Lightweight tier using Subaccount A, with an initial balance of 500 USD. During the competition, Bob transfers 2,000 USD from his main account to Subaccount A. The total balance of Subaccount A becomes 2500 USD, meeting the asset requirement for the Middleweight tier, so Subaccount A will automatically be upgraded to the Middleweight tier.

 

 

 

How will the ranking be calculated if I upgrade the asset tier level during Squad Showdown?

After you upgrade your asset tier in the Squad Showdown, the ranking will be recalculated based on the latest asset tier.

 

 

 

Will the event rewards (airdrop, rewards, bonus) received during the competition affect the calculation of my P&L%?

Yes, all airdrop rewards and bonuses will be considered as deposits, increasing your account balance and thereby affecting your P&L% calculation. To avoid this, you can participate in the competition using a sub-account.

 

 

 

What other rewards can I earn in the Squad Showdown besides the Squad and Individual Ranking rewards?

Multiple rewards can be earned when participating in WSOT 2024 and the Squad Showdown.

 

 

Reminder: You must achieve a trading volume of ≥ 50,000 USDT during the competition to be eligible for rewards.

How is the Daily Streak ranking calculated?

The Daily Streak ranking is based on how many days a squad places in the Top 10 on the overall leaderboard. Each day a squad enters the Top 10, the squad earns 1 point. The more points a squad accumulates, the higher they rank in the Daily Streak ranking. Only the squad ranked 1st on the Daily Streak leaderboard will receive rewards, which will be equally distributed among its members. In the event that multiple squads have the same points, the winner will be decided by the Squad's P&L% Point

 

 

 

I didn't perform well during the Squad Showdown competition. Is there any chance to try again?

WSOT 2024 introduces a new item: ROI Reset Card! Participants can earn one ROI Reset Card for every 50K in trading volume, with a maximum of 3 cards available during the event. Use the ROI Reset Card to reset both your P&L(%) and profits to 0 when they are negative. VIPs and affiliates will automatically receive one card upon registering for WSOT 2024.

 

 

 

I used an ROI Reset Card. Will it affect my individual and squad rankings in Squad Showdown?

Yes, after using the ROI Reset Card, your account's P&L% will be reset to zero. Consequently, your individual and squad ranking data will also be reset accordingly. Please note that the ROI Reset Card can only be used when your trading performance is negative.

 

 

 

If I use a sub-account to participate in Squad Showdown, can I still receive the ROI Reset Card?

Yes, both the main account and sub-accounts can independently receive up to 3 ROI Reset Cards each.

 

 

 

Can the rewards in Squad Showdown be stacked?

Yes, all leaderboard rewards can be stacked.

 

Example：

Same Leaderboard Rewards:

• Bob created Squad B, and Squad B ranked in the top 10. Bob is also ranked first within the squad. Therefore, Bob can receive the Squad Leader reward + Squad MVP reward + rewards for all members who meet the trading volume requirements.

 

Different Leaderboard Rewards:

• Squad B, created by Bob, also ranked in the top 3 on the regional squad leaderboard. As a result, Bob can also receive the rewards from the regional squad leaderboard.

 

 

 

 

 

Copy Trading Fest

How do I participate in the Copy Trading Fest?

Visit the Copy Trading Fest landing page and choose to participate as a Master Trader or Follower.

What are the requirements to join Copy Trading Fest?

In order to participate in the Copy Trading Fest, your main account balance must be ≥ 500 USD.

 

 

 

 

Can I change my role as a Master Trader or Follower after I join the Copy Trading Fest?

Your role cannot be modified after it is confirmed.

 

 

 

I’m participating in the Copy Trading Fest. Can I cancel or change Master Traders to follow during the competition?

Yes, you are free to adjust your copy trading strategy by canceling or changing Master Traders at any time.

 

 

 

Can I follow multiple Master Traders during the event period?

Yes, you can follow multiple Master Traders to increase your chances of winning.

 

 

 

In the Copy Trading Fest, besides making it onto the leaderboard, what are the other conditions for winning?

To be eligible to claim a share of the prize pool, you must trade at least $50,000 and have a positive Copy Trading P&L during the event period.

 

 

 

I participated in the Copy Trader Fest’s Master Trader Competition. How is the ranking calculated?

You need to use your Master Trader account to participate. Once one of your Master Trader accounts has successfully registered, all your other Master Trader accounts will be automatically registered for the Master Trader competition. Each account's trading performance is calculated independently, and all accounts will be eligible for the ranking.

 

Note: Once you participate in the Master Trader competition, you will not be able to join the Follower competition.

 

 

 

I participated in the Copy Trader Fest’s Follower Competition. How is the ranking calculated?

You need to use your Follower account to participate. Once one of your Follower accounts has successfully registered, all your other Follower accounts will be automatically registered for the Follower competition. Each account's trading performance is calculated independently. However, only accounts with the best trading performance will be used for ranking. You can view the details of your top five performing follower accounts on the event page.

 

Note: Once you participate in the Follower competition, you will not be able to join the Master Trader competition.

What is the WSOT DEX Wave?

Buddy Rally

What is the Buddy Rally event?

During WSOT 2024, users can invite friends to sign up for a new account and register for WSOT 2024 to earn rewards!

 

The invited friends must use the correct referral code to register their account and meet the referral conditions below:

• Successfully register using the referral code during the competition.

• Have a net deposit of ≥ 100 USDT and trade ≥ 500 USDT within 7 days after account registration. Please note that internal transfers, deposits between Bybit accounts and 0% fee spot trades will not be counted.

 

Once your friend meets the conditions, both you and your friend will receive one lucky draw chance and you can earn up to 10 lucky draw chances!

 

Notes: 

— Rewards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

— Qualified referees will be reviewed by the system and may take up to one (1) day to process.

— The more qualified friends you invite, the higher your ranking, and the more rewards you can win! 

— If the number of qualified invited friends is the same, the one who invited friends earlier will rank higher.

— You must invite at least 2 qualified friends to enter the ranking.

 

 

 

Is the Buddy Rally a 100% win?

Unfortunately, the Buddy Rally does not guarantee a 100% win. Each successfully invited qualified friend will earn one lucky draw chance. Winning in the draw is not guaranteed, and rewards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that only users who make it to the leaderboard will share the final rewards.

 

 

 

How often is the referee's status updated in Buddy Rally?

The qualified referees will be reviewed by the system and may take up to one (1) day to process.

 

 

 

How often is the Buddy Rally leaderboard updated?

The Buddy Rally leaderboard is updated every 5 minutes.

 

 

 

Why is my friend's status still showing as ineligible in the Buddy Rally even though they have met the requirements?

All statuses require 24 hours for verification and updates, so please be patient. Bybit reserves the right to modify the participation status of any account that violates the event rules. 

 

 

 

I participated in the Buddy Rally and entered the lucky draw. When will I receive the rewards after the draw?

No, all WSOT 2024 rewards will be distributed together after the competition ends.

I am an affiliate. Can I participate in the Buddy Rally?
