What is the Bybit Leaderboard?

Bybit Leaderboard displays the top 500 traders by P&L and by ROI on Bybit. Traders may choose to follow the highest performing traders across Bybit and see their performance and active positions if they enable sharing.

 

 

 

What are the different rankings available on the Leaderboard?

The leaderboard now presents 4 different rankings as well as the Top 500 Traders ranking. 

 

Under the Leaderboards tab, the following rankings will be shown: 

• A weekly ranking that will be updated every Monday at 02:00 AM UTC,

• A bi-weekly ranking, updated on alternate Monday at 02:00 AM UTC,

• A monthly ranking that will be updated on the first day of every month at 02:00 AM UTC,

• The Premier Trader of the Year ranking that will be updated everyday until December, 31st, at 02:00 AM UTC,

 

You can also view the period considered for each ranking and get access to past rankings by clicking on Past Editions under the ranking name.

 

 

The Top 500 Traders ranking will be visible under the All Rankings tab. There, you will be able to select the type of traders, period duration and type of ranking you would like to display.

 

 

 

 

What do the icons represent on the trader's profile in the ranking?

You can find more details on each trader’s profile by checking the different labels below:

 

 

1. These icons will recap the number of times the account has been ranked in the different leaderboard rankings.

2. This symbol will show you the current VIP level applied on the account. If an account does not have a VIP level, no icon will be displayed.

3. The UTA icon will be visible whenever the account has been upgraded to a Unified Trading Account.

4. The M icon means that this account is a Master Trader under Copy Trading. After clicking on the account to display more information, a Copy Trading tab will appear with a direct link to the Master Trader Profile.

 

 

Note: If a user is showing no email or user name it means its a subaccount and user did not set a display name for the subaccount yet.

 

 

 

If I don’t fall under the top 500 category, will my profile be public?

No, if your profile doesn’t make it to the top 500, it will not be public. Your profile will only be public once you have made it to the Top 500.

 

 

 

I am ranked in the top 500 but I do not want my profile to be public. How can I hide my profile/positions?

If you do not wish to appear on the leaderboard or show your positions, you can go to your Settings and disable the Show my ranking or Show my positions functions. Please note that this update will be effective on the leaderboard 10 minutes after you confirm your changes.

 

 

 

 

What happens if I decide not to be ranked on the leaderboard?

The following trader will take your place. For example, if you’re ranked second on the leaderboard and you decide not to be ranked, the trader ranked third will take over rank #2.

 

 

 

How will I be notified when a trader I follow makes a new trade?

Currently, the Follow feature only allows you to mark a trader as Favorite. Bybit will be adding more notification features in the future.

 

 

 

How are traders ranked?

The rankings are determined by Realized P&L or ROI percentage.

 

 

 

How can I have my username shown on the leaderboard?

The username shown on the leaderboard will be the nickname you have set on the account settings page. If you have not set up your nickname, a redacted email address or phone number that you’ve used to register an account will be displayed as your leaderboard’s username.

 

 

 

How does the search bar work?

You can search the ranking or profile of a certain trader by using the Search by user function. For security reasons, the trader's email address and phone numbers are redacted. Hence, a full/complete email address is not searchable. You can search the list of users by what is displayed.

 

 

 

 

Why is my Leaderboard profile page empty?

The Leaderboard ranking is currently open to individual investors. Trading statistics won’t be displayed on your Leaderboard profile page if:

1. You are an institutional investor or market maker.

2. Your account has been banned.

 

 

 

Why is the P&L shown on the leaderboard different from the value showing on my assets page? Why is the value changing when I’m not making any trades?

This is due to the value fluctuation of each coin, as the P&L shown on the leaderboard is taking the coin’s value in USD, which is updated once every day at 02:00AM UTC.

 

 

 

How my P&L and ROI% derived?

P&L = (Ending Account Balance + Total Withdrawals During the Period) - (Starting Account Balance + Total Deposits During the Period)

 

ROI = P&L/Cost

Cost = Staring Account Balance + Total Deposits During the Period

 

Disclaimer: Please note that the above calculations are solely for the purpose of leaderboard ranking calculation.

 

 

 

How is the Win Rate calculated?

The Win Rate will be calculated as the percentage of positions closed on profit out of all the positions closed.

 

Example: If a trader closes 10 positions, and 7 of them are for profits and 3 for losses, the trader’s Win Rate is 70%.
