How to Report a User for Malicious Behavior on P2P

    On the AppOn the Website

To enhance user experience and counteract potential instances of fraud resulting from malicious orders, Bybit P2P trading has introduced a reporting function. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to report scammers and malicious activities on the platform.

How to Report a P2P User

Step 1: There are two ways to report other P2P users:

    a) Via P2P Order

If you find malicious behavior from your counterparty at any point during the transaction, go to the P2P order page that you'd like to report.

Tap on the speech bubble → Report Scam next to the counterparty's nickname.

Note: If the order involves payment related issues (e.g., payment is not received or the seller does not release the coin), submitting a report will not initiate an order dispute. To request assistance from a P2P specialist, you may file a report after submitting an appeal here.

    b) Via the Advertiser/User's Profile

If you suspect an advertiser/user is conducting scams or malicious activities, you can report them from their profile by tapping the Report Scam button at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: On the report page,

    1. Select the reason for reporting from the drop-down list.

    2. Input the P2P Order Number, if applicable.

    3. Include a detailed description of the event in less than 500 characters and upload supporting documents.

    4. Click on Submit once done.

You've successfully reported the user. We will review the report and inform both you and your counterparty of the outcome via Chat Box notifications and emails.

    Notes:

    • Avoid submitting false or malicious reports, as this may lead to the suspension of your account.

    • Avoid making multiple reports for the same reason. Once a report for a particular reason is submitted, you are not allowed to file another report for the same reason. However, you may submit reports for different reasons once you have completed a report for a single issue.

    • Users who have already been reported and addressed by others can still be reported for different cases. Each report is treated independently and will be reviewed and processed separately.

How to Dispute a Report Filed Against Me

If you believe a report filed against you is false, you may submit a dispute through the Support Hub within 3 calendar days. Failure to submit a dispute within this period will be considered as “no objection” to the report. No further dispute will be accepted and any restriction on your account will remain in place.

If you would like to dispute the report, please follow the steps below to submit your objection.

Step 1: Navigate to the P2P Trading page and tap on Submit Now in the top banner to submit your objection.

    • Avoid submitting false or malicious reports, as doing so may result in the suspension of your account.

    • Avoid making multiple reports for the same reason. Once a report for a particular reason is submitted, you are not allowed to file another report for the same reason. However, you can submit reports for different reasons after completing a report for a single issue.

    • Users who have already been reported and addressed by others can still be reported for different cases. Each case is independent and will be reviewed and processed separately.
