To enhance user experience and counteract potential instances of fraud resulting from malicious orders, Bybit P2P trading has introduced a reporting function. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to report a fraudulent counterparty under one of the two circumstances.

    How to Report a Scam

Step 1: At any point during the transaction, if you suspect fraudulent activity from your counterparty, navigate to the P2P order page. Go to the order you’d like to report, tap on the speech bubble, and then tap the Report button below the order status.

Should you have reason to believe that your counterparty is deliberately causing delays in the order, you may file a report following the steps below after submitting an appeal

Step 2: On the report page, select your reason for reporting from the following option:

    • The counterparty is intentionally holding up the order. (e.g. press "Pay" without actually making payment intentionally.)
    • Scams

Upload supporting documents, and click Confirm.

You’ve successfully reported your counterparty. The platform will review the report and inform both you and your counterparty of the outcome via notification or email.

    How to Raise a Dispute

As a counterparty, you may dispute the report filed against you. Currently, this feature is reserved for complicated disputes. Please refer to the actual product display for more information.

Follow the steps below to raise your dispute.

Step 1: Tap on the Raise a Dispute button on the notification page upon receiving a notification of being reported by your counterparty.

Step 2: Select the type of dispute from the following options.

    • Scams

Upload supporting documents, and click Submit.

You’ve successfully raised a dispute. The platform will review your dispute and inform you and your counterparty the decision via notification and email.

    Notes

    • Avoid submitting false or malicious reports, as doing so may result in the suspension of your account.
    • Please note that the reporting function is currently accessible only to specific users; refer to the actual page display for confirmation.
    • Avoid making multiple reports for the same reason. Once a report for a particular reason is submitted, you are not allowed to file another report for the same reason.
    • However, you can submit reports for different reasons after completing a report for a single issue.
    • Users who have already been reported and addressed by others can still be reported for different cases. Each report is independent and will be reviewed and processed separately.
